Lloyd Fisher was born on 28 September 1923. He was the son of Walter Fisher and Rhoda Ishman. Lloyd Fisher married, at age 32, Amanda Jean Peacock, daughter of Melvin E. Peacock and Evabell Smith, on Thursday, 29 September 1955. Lloyd Fisher died on 14 July 2005 at age 81 years, 9 months and 16 days.1
His obituary was published on 16 July 2005 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:
Lloyd J. Fisher, 81, of 5314 West Route 973 Highway, Cogan Station, died Thursday, July 14, 2005, at his home.
Lloyd was a member of Quiggleville United Methodist Church. He was a self-employed refuse hauler retiring in 1987.
Born Sept. 28, 1923 in Anthony Twp., Lycoming County, he was a son of Walter and Rhoda E. Ishamn Fisher.
Surviving are daughters, Pamela S. Roan of Manassas, Va., and Gaye N. Fisher of Highpoint, N.C; sisters, Betty Derr of Salladasburg and Mary Iva Peacock, with whom he lived; and two grandsons. Lloyd was predeceased by brothers, Merrill and Virgil.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Knight-Confer’s, 1914 Memorial Ave., with the Rev. Mark Messner, officiating. Burial will be at State Road Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Monday. The family will provide the flowers and suggests contributions be made to the Quiggleville United Methodist Church, 2055 West Route 973 Highway, Cogan Station, PA 17728.1
