William Field
M, (30 November 1793 - 13 June 1873)
William Field was born on 30 November 1793 at New Jersey.1 He married, at age 24, Anna Mary Updegraff, age 20, daughter of Thomas Updegraff and Elizabeth Rothrock, on Thursday, 12 March 1818.1 William Field died on 13 June 1873 at McGregor, Clayton County, Iowa, at age 79 years, 6 months and 14 days.1
William Field was known as Colonel professionally. He and Anna Mary Updegraff appeared on the census of 3 August 1860 at Williamsport, West Ward, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. William Field left a will in 1864. It stated:
at the Williamsport Courthouse in Pennsylvania - Will Book #3, page 582, made 1 Mar 1864, registared 18 June 1873. At the age of 17, Polly joined the Methodist church. They resided on Market Street, Williamsport, PA. They had a total of 14 children 11 of which their names are unknown at this time, but all lived to adulthood.
