     Paul Myron McBride was born on 14 January 1917.2,3,1 He was the son of John J. McBride and Ruby Mae Wurster. Paul Myron McBride married, at age 19, Alice Grace Hoffman, daughter of Reverend Benjamin Griffin Hoffman and Eva Imogene Miller, on Saturday, 8 February 1936 at home of Reverend Benjamin G. Hoffman, 2351 Dove Street, Newberry, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, by the Reverend Benjamin Griffin Hoffman.3 Paul Myron McBride died on 2 September 2005 at age 88 years, 7 months and 19 days.2
     He was employed by the Lycoming Manufacturing Company. His obituary was published on 4 September 2005 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:

     Paul M. McBride, 88, of 2001 Memorial Ave., Williamsport, died Friday, Sept. 2, 2005, in Rose View Center.

Born Jan. 14, 1917, in Jersey Shore, he was the son of John J. and Ruby M. Wurster McBride.

A 1934 graduate of Williamsport High School, Paul retired with 47 years of service with Textron-Lycoming.

He was a 75-year member of St. John’s Newberry United Methodist Church, where he sang in the choir, taught Sunday School and served on trustees and various committees. Involved in Boy Scouting for over 60 years, he served as Scout Master of his church’s Troop 14 in 1952 and was awarded the Silver Beaver.

He was a 50 year member of Williamsport Consistory and John F. Laedlein Lodge 707, F. & A.M., where he served as worship master in 1955. He was the recipient of the Daniel Carter Beard Masonic Scouting Award in 2002. Paul was also an amateur ham radio operator using the call letters N3FPN.

Surviving are his wife of 69 years, the former Alice G. Hoffman; his daughter, Saundra J. (Edward) Blackburn of Montoursville; his son, Paul D. (Althea) McBride of city; three grandsons, Martin D. Myers of Studio City, Calif., Matthew (Cheryl) McBride of Muncy and Jason McBride of Fairfax, Va; two step grandchildren, Christopher (Karen) Blackburn and Tammy (Tracy) McEwen; three step great grandchildren, Danielle and Scott Blackburn and Talia McEwan.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday from his church, 2101 Newberry St., with the Rev. Kraig L. Faust officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Green Lawn Memorial Park. There will be no visitation. The family will provide the flowers and suggests that memorials be given to the church or Troop 14, BSA, 2101 Newberry St., Williamsport, PA 17701. Arrangements by Sanders Mortuary.4
According to the Social Security Administrations Death Index Paul's last known residence was Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2
