     William Covode Updegraff was born on 17 November 1906 at Punxsutawney, Young Township, Jefferson County, Pennsylvania.1 He was the son of John Wilbert Updegraff and Lena M. Robinson.2 William Covode Updegraff married, at age 25, Jeanette Volka, age 26, daughter of John Christian Volka and Bessie E. Pierce, on Saturday, 28 May 1932 at Ripley, Chautauqua County, New York.3 William Covode Updegraff died on 22 November 1998 at age 92 years and 5 days.1
     He was employed by Borden Dairy.3 As of circa 1988, William Covode Updegraff lived at 20 Topaz Lane, Enchanting Acres, Naples, Florida.3
