Kate Sargent was born on 23 August 1869 at Jerseyville (later Shade), Athens County, Ohio.¹ She was the daughter of Enos L. Sargent and Eleanor Creamer. Kate Sargent married, at age 22, Sherman R. Henderson, age 24, son of James Emery Henderson and Saretta Loretta McCollough, on Thursday, 8 October 1891 at Athens County, Ohio.¹ Kate Sargent died in 1897 at age 27 years.¹ She was buried in the Burson Cemetery, located in Shade, Athens County, Ohio.¹
