George Parks Whitaker married, at age 26, Marie Stifel, daughter of Louis Frederick Stifel and Fredrika Oesterling, on Wednesday, 27 June 1917 at Wheeling, Ohio County, West Virginia.1 George Parks Whitaker died on 23 November 1948 at age 57 years, 8 months and 30 days.1 He was buried in the Greenwood Cemetery, located in Wheeling, Ohio County, West Virginia.1
