Hannah Kiess was born in November 1857 at Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Jacob Kiess and Elizabeth Steiger. Hannah Kiess died in 1935 at age 77 years. She was buried in the Blooming Grove Cemetery, located in Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
