Olive I. Rhoads1,2

     Olive I. Rhoads was born on 30 June 1917 at Akron, Summit County, Ohio.2 She was the daughter of Augustus N. Rhoads and Susan M. Hunington.2 Olive I. Rhoads married Chester G. Hill, son of Clarence Lerue Clark and Mae Metzger Hill, in 1936.1,2 Olive I. Rhoads died on 18 October 2007 at age 90 years, 3 months and 18 days.2
     Her obituary was published on 20 October 2007 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Her obituary stated:

     Olive I. Hill, 90, formerly of Diamond St. and the Hepburn St. High Rise, Williamsport, died Thursday, October 18, 2007, at Manor Care North Health Services where she resided for the last 10 years.

     Born June 30, 1917 in Akron, Ohio, she was a daughter of Augustus N. and Susan M. Hunington Rhoads.

     She was a former member of Christ United Methodist Church in South Williamsport.

     She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Chester G. Hill Sr., in 1994, two brothers, a sister and two grandsons.

     Surviving are six children, Chester G. (Carrline) Hill Jr. of Williamsport, Clarence A. (Carol) Hill of South Williamsport, Edward E. (Sherry) Hill of Nesbitt, William R. (Dawn) Hill of Gulfport, Miss., Susan M. (Paul) Bradarich of Spring Hill, Fla; 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, one great great grandson, four step grandchildren, five step-great grandchildren, and five step- great great grandchildren.

     A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Friday October 26, 2007 at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport. Burial will be held in Montoursville Cemetery.

     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Olive’s name should be made to Susquehanna Hospice 1100 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.2
