     Rex Theodore Kiess was born on 3 December 1902 at Edon, Williams County, Ohio.3,2 He was the son of David Theodore Kiess and Bertha Laura Twichell.1 Rex Theodore Kiess married, at age 23, Florence Eldred, age 25 on Saturday, 11 September 1926 at Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.1 Rex Theodore Kiess died on 8 July 1995 at Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo County, Michigan, at age 92 years, 7 months and 5 days.3 He was buried on 11 July 1995 in the Oak Grove Cemetery, located in Coldwater, Branch County, Michigan.
     He became a widower at the age of 84 with the death of Florence on 14 July 1987.4 According to the Social Security Administrations Death Index Rex's last known residence was Scotts, Kalamazoo County, Michigan.3
