Edna Mae Snyder was born on 20 February 1909 at Cogan Station, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2 She was the daughter of Maurice Snyder and Elizabeth Hyde. Edna Mae Snyder married, at age 30, J. Roscoe Heim, age 27, son of Ezra B. Heim and Hannah Ann Wilson, on Friday, 19 January 1940 at Balls Mills United Methodist Church, Balls Mills, Hepburn Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2 Edna Mae Snyder died on 17 February 2002 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 92 years, 11 months and 28 days. She was buried on 21 February 2002.
Her obituary was published on 19 February 2002 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Her obituary stated:
Edna M. Heim, 92, of 406 Highland Terrace, Williamsport, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002, at her residence. Born Feb. 20, 1909, in Balls Mills, she was the daughter of Maurice and Elizabeth Hyde Snyder. The oldest member of the Balls Mills United Methodist Church, she taught Sunday School for over 30 years and sang in the choir for over 40 years. She was a member of the church s quilting group and its women s missionary society. She and her husband, J. Roscoe Heim, celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on Jan. 19, 2002.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, is her daughter, Elizabeth J. Kilheeney of Williamsport; a grandson, Jay W. Kilheeney and three great-grandchildren, Austin, Emily and Cory Kilheeney.
The funeral will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Balls Mills United Methodist Church with her pastor, Rev. James R. Sunderland, officiating. Friends will be received in the church Thursday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Arrangements by Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Edna M. Heim Memorial Fund, c/o Balls Mills U.M. Church, 5941 Blooming Grove Road, Cogan Station, PA 17728.3
