Lolita Mae Morrison

     Lolita Mae Morrison was born on 14 June 1910 at Somerset, Somerset County, Pennsylvania.1 She was the daughter of Ward Freeman Morrison and Emma Joder. Lolita Mae Morrison married, at age 27, Walter Albert Schwartz, son of Ferdinand A. Schwartz and Margaret A. [—?—], in December 1937 at Virginia. Lolita Mae Morrison married, at age 49, William Von Hofmann, son of Edward Von Hofmann and Josephine [—?—], in August 1959 at State College, Centre County, Pennsylvania.2 Lolita Mae Morrison died on 16 August 2003 at age 93 years, 2 months and 2 days.
     During WWII Loita collected more tin cans, papers and milk weed pods (for parachutes) than anyone in America for two consecutive years. She was rewarded for her efforts by the President of the United States and rode in a jeep in a parade in her home town. She taught school for thirty years, then becoming a licensed realtor and an interior decorator. As of circa 1980, Lolita Mae Morrison and William Von Hofmann lived at 1194 Colonial Road, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.2
