JOHN KREY - Purchased 306 acres in Skippack 18 October 1706, naturalized on 28 September 1709, petitioned the Court of Quarter Sessions to lay out the Skippack Road - The petition of the inhabitants of the township of Skippack and several adjacent plantations in said county, humbly showeth, that whereas, in the aforesaid township and neighbor-hood thereof, pretty many families are already settled, and probably not a few more to settle in and about the same. And yet no road being laid out and established to accommodate your petitioners: but what paths have hitherto been used are only upon sufferance, and liable to be fenced up. Therefore, your petitioners, both for the public good and their own convenience, humbly desire an order for the laying out and establishing a road or cartway from the upper end of said township down to the widemarsh, of Farmer's mill, which will greatly tend to the satisfaction of your petitioners, who shall thankfully acknowledge the favor, &c. "2 June 1713 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia Co, Pennsylvania. Purchased 400 acres in Mahanatawney (on Schuylkill River) from Lodwick Christian SPROGELL, of Philadelphia. Made will on 24 August 1714, (Philadelphia Will Bk. D, pg. 148) - Named wife Sytge; children: Deborah, Susannah, Catherine, Maria, John, William, Peter and Jacob. Letters were granted, only to wife Sytge and Isaac Opdegraf. Executors: Wife Sytge, John Henry Sprogell, Dirk Opdegraf and Jacob Sensenig. Witnesses: Henry Kassell, William Dewees and Isaac Opdegraf. 17 February 1719 / 1720, Will probated 18 March 1719 / 1720.1 John Krey was also known as Jan.
