Earl Henry Pentz was born on 24 April 1908.5,2 He was the son of Thomas J. Pentz and Amanda B. Entz.1,3 Earl Henry Pentz married Stella A. Harris circa 1930.3,4 Earl Henry Pentz died on 10 March 2007 at age 98 years, 10 months and 14 days.2 He was buried on 14 March 2007 in the Montoursville Cemetery, located in Montoursville, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The funeral service was officiated by Reverend Donald E. Yorks.3
His obituary was published on 12 March 2007 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:
Earl H. Pentz, 98, of 757 Halltown Road, Montoursville, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2007, at his residence.
Born April 24, 1908, in Fairfield Twp., he was the son of Thomas and Amanda Entz Pentz.
He was a member of the Fairfield United Methodist Church and had taught Sunday school there. He was a tax assessor for many years in Fairfield Twp., and was a farmer in Fairfield Twp., where he and his wife operated a stand in the former Growers Market. Earl also enjoyed hunting and received the Triple Trophy.
Surviving him is a son, Lester E. Pentz of Fairfield Twp; two daughters, Eleanor L. (Harold) Fox, with whom he resided, and Ruth E. (Lester) Springman of Fairfield Twp; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death was his wife the former Stella Harris, who died in 1994 and two brothers, Lloyd and John.
The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at the Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville, with the Rev. Donald E. Yorks, his pastor officiating. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Montoursville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Fairfield United Methodist Church, c/o Dennis Yohe, 237, Halltown Road, Montoursville, PA 17754.3 According to the Social Security Administrations Death Index Earl's last known residence was Montoursville, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2
