     Lillian May Updegraff was born on 30 July 1879 at Wetona, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.1 She was the daughter of Thomas Updegraff and Huldah Sargeant. Lillian May Updegraff married, at age 23, Leland A. Welch, age 20, son of Freeman Welch and Ruth [—?—], on Sunday, 5 April 1903 at Elmira Heights, Chemung County, New York.1 Lillian May Updegraff died on 30 April 1966 at Horseheads, Chemung County, New York, at age 86 years and 9 months.1
