Harry Lee Carter was born on 28 March 1939 at Clearfield, Lawrence Township, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania.2,1 He was the son of George R. Carter and Edith Louise Williams.1 Harry Lee Carter married, at age 26, Janice Louise Wurster, daughter of Dale Eldon Wurster and Dorothy Mae Lovell, on Friday, 17 September 1965. Harry Lee Carter and Janice Louise Wurster were divorced in 1994. Harry Lee Carter died on 18 June 2002 at Williamsport Hospital, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 63 years, 2 months and 21 days.2,1 He was buried on 21 June 2002 in the Wildwood Cemetery, located in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.

Harry Lee Carter, 63, of 438 North Shaffer Hill Road, Cogan Station, died Tuesday, June 18, 2002, in Williamsport Hospital. Born March 28, 1939, in Clearfield, he was a son of George R. and Edith Louise Williams Carter. Harry retired with over 35 years of service with Alcan Cable. He was a member of the Hyner Mountain Snowmobile Club, the Wheel Inn and R-Gun Club of Rauchtown.
Surviving are his mother, of city; a son, David L., of city; a daughter, Linda M. Vannucci, of Queens, NY; three grandchildren, Kenneth Lee and Mark Joseph Carter and Adriana Marie Vannucci; three brothers, George H. of Rochester, NY, Joseph E. of city and Phillip R. of Holt, FL; and three sisters, Jenny Mitchell of city, Roseann Engel of Marsh Hill and Linda B. Yorks of Oriole. Harry was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Komonczi.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday from Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport, with pastor Thomas Jones of Oriole United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery. Friends may call at Sanders from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorials be given to the American Cancer Society, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701.1
