     John Dixon married Susan Toner, daughter of Edward Toner and Susannah Updegraff, circa 1850.1 John Dixon died in 1871 at Shelbyville, Shelby County, Indiana.1
     He was one of the originators of the First National Bank of Shelbyville and was one of the largest stockholders.1
